Paradise Village Offers "Old Florida" Styling on the Imperial River

“Old Florida” styling gets a modern update as Paradise Village combines the newest innovative building products, environmentally friendly materials and modern engineering designs to create “maintenance free” homes.

Construction is underway on Southwest Florida’s newest waterfront community. Paradise Village is an upscale new, gated community being developed on the Imperial River by Summit Capital and Development and built by Seahorse Communities, Inc. Located just east of Bonita Bay on West Terry Street on the last undeveloped riverfront peninsula, Paradise Village includes 40 single-family homesites, each a waterfront lot with gulf access.

An Old Florida theme is combined with innovative building technology to provide residents with a casual waterfront lifestyle that is virtually "Maintenance Free". At the same time, the designs capture the charm of the architicture that represented this area when seasonal residents such as Edison and Ford first wintered here.

Homes are of concrete and steel frame construction, providing additional structural integrity. Exteriors will feature heavy-duty vinyl siding. Porches, decks and railings are of ployethylene, a "plastic wood" that duplicated the grain and texture of wood, but will not chip or warp and requires no painting. The combination makes the homes resistant to hurricane damage, fire and termite infestation.

Paradise Village is building a uniquely gated entry that will make a srong statement to the quality of the development. It will feature a wrought iron scrolled look enry gate with tropical landscaping that compliments the profuse native vegetation on the 13-acre site. The riverfront land is thick with native sable palms and oaks that enhance the sense of an undisturbed Old Florida neighborhood.

Currently four models are planned. Homes range from the Tavernier – a 3BR/2BA model with approximately 1,600 air-conditioned sq. ft. and a total of 2,411 sq. ft. – to theMarathoner – a 4BR/3BA home with 2,305 air-conditioned sq. ft. and a 3-car garage, a total of 4,730 sq. ft. Several larger custom homes will be constructed in the village and are welcomed.

All models are designed with gracious architectural details such a cupolas, wide porches, cathedral ceilings and high-pitched metal roofs in a selection of colors. Homes offer either 2- or 3-car garages and driveways of interlocking pavers.

Interior features include tiled entry and baths, French doors, plant shelves, marble window sills, his and hers walk-in closets in the master suite, cultured marble vanity tops, cultured marble Roman tub and walk-in shower in the master bath, and four ceiling fans. Kitchens offer Corian counters, European-style raised cabinets, walk-in pantry cabinet and an upgrade General Electric "Profile" line appliance package, including microwave.

Since Paradise Village is on a peninsula, all of the homesites are located on boating canals – or directly on the Imperial River – with access to the Gulf of Mexico.

Paradise Village is located at 9650 West Terry Street in Bonita Springs, 8/10 of a mile east of Bonita Bay and the Promenade Shops.
