Seahorse Communities of Southwest Florida, LLC. and it's Managing Members and building partners are the same "team" and directors of the original company "Seahorse Communities, INC.". The reorganization included bringing forward all of the ideology, home designs, development concepts, project concepts and new development visions that originated from the successes and ideals of the former company. Seahorse Communities, INC., was inactivated due to the economic down turn in 2008. From 1998-2008 Seahorse Communities, was Southwest Florida's most recognized developers of "Old Florida" Homes and Communities. Their projects and developments incorporated "Olde Florida" home designs and truly unique "lifestyle" concepts, in addition to exceptional locations. Seahorse Communities and it's managing partners, now as in the past will be completely responsible for design, concept, marketing, and construction of all new projects. Seahorse, together with our General Contractor partners, have been building homes in South Florida since 1998.

The "COMPANY" has designed more then twenty-four (24) different 1, 2 and 3 story "Olde Florida" style homes. Each home is designed incorporating the original and unique architectural "Cracker" styling and "Rocking Chair" front porch designs, which made these homes so recognized in the past and present. From the time the Collier family built their first home here until modern day, these "Olde Florida" "Cracker" and "Key West" styles have become internationally renowned. Today's home, although incorporating all the modern, "State of the Art" engineering and structural design and conveniences, still keeps true to the architectural flair and "lifestyle" features for which these original homes are famous.

Many notable developments were designed, built and/or developed by Seahorse Communities and Steve Bacardi. Take a tour on our website and look at some of the most remarkable "Waterfront and Lifestyle" Communities ever built in Southwest Florida. These include "Paradise Village" (SOLD OUT) a forty (40)-home Private Riverfront Development of Single Family "Old Florida" and "Key West" style homes on the Imperial River in Bonita Springs, Woodbridge Preserve (SOLD OUT)completing a development of sixty-one (61) Single Family homes and lots in Bonita Springs Golf and Country Club. "Calusa Island Village" (original contract, & concept design remained as equity partners) (SOLD OUT), a fifty-two (52-unit waterfront development in Goodland on Marco Island which sold out in pre-construction in early 2004, the "Oaks Plantation Properties, two-five (5) acre tracts on the Mullet River in Estero, the "Ringling Preserve" a "Historical" Riverfront property on the Imperial River in Bonita Springs. "Trieste Preserve", (SOLD OUT) an eighteen and half (18.5) acre, private development in Bonita Springs Golf and Country Club. with Estate home sites located on Divot Drive. "Center Town Commons" Commercial/Industrial Park (SOLD) was a forty-five (45,000) square foot professional center to be built on Appaloosha Drive and Daniels in Fort Myers, (SOLD) with an expected opening at the end of 2006.

On Pine Island, in the historic St. James City area Seahorse Communities were entitling, designing and in the development process for several unique communities in the heart of "Historical St. James City" They were "Harbourwalk" (SOLD TO LEE COUNTY) a fifty-six (56) estate & equestrian homesite development, with a private horse stable and trails through out the development. "MarinaWalk" is a private ten (10) home waterfront development, each with their own deep water dockage. Directly in the heart of St. James City, we development and sold "Shell Village" (SOLD OUT), a twelve (12)lot subdivision, just steps from the Inter-coastal Waterway.

Up until late 2008, until the down turn in the economy, Seahorse Communities was in the process of conceptual designs and entitlements for the several different projects on the "Steinhatchee River" in Steinhatchee on Florida's Northern Gulf coast. (Those concepts and designs can be seen on the website). The "Crown Jewel" of these projects was "Steinhatchee River Lodge, Marina & Resort" which was planned as a fifty-two (52) unit mid-rise condo resort directly over looking the mouth of the Steinhatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, was the planned expansion of the existing full service marina from 56 slips to 96 full-service slips. (ALL OF THESE PROJECTS WERE STOPPED DUE TO THE ECONOMIC TURN-DOWN IN 07-08)

All of our past and present planning and marketing of our projects are focused on the "Baby Boomer" generation. Seventy million (70,000,000) +/-  will be ready to retire now and over the next ten years. A substantial portion of those retirees are heading to where it is sunny, warm, and where boating and fishing can become a favorite past time.
